Bubbling energy and belief in the future at GastroNord and Vinordic
[100506] This year’s GastroNord and Vinordic trade fairs featured strong belief in the future and a sense of optimism. The exhibition halls were absolutely bubbling with positive energy, and a great deal of good business was done.
Last weekend saw GastroNord and Vinordic draw to a close at Stockholm International Fairs. The fairs drew a total of 27,221 visitors, having opened while the cloud of ash spread across Europe. Despite this and the ensuing travel chaos, 1,000 foreign visitors managed to make it to the fairs.
“The atmosphere was fantastic, and lots of people said that this year’s GastroNord was the best ever,” says Göran Ekberg, project manager for GastroNord and Vinordic. “Our exhibitors were delighted that the quality of the visitors was so high, and they managed to do a lot of important business. We were worried about how the ash cloud would affect us, but despite somewhat lower numbers of foreign participants and visitors, we weren’t affected too badly.”
The atmosphere was also positive at Vinordic, with packed seminars and popular wine-tasting sessions.
“Everyone noticed how much positive energy there was bubbling through the fair,” adds Göran. “And we’re pleased that our new features – the Rosé Wine Tasting Bar and the Whiskey Lounge – went down so well.”
