Security at Stockholmsmässan

The decision on a total ban on bags at larger events currently does not apply to fairs

Given the current situation in society, the Police Authority has decided on a total ban on bags at larger events in Sweden. This decision does not encompass fairs. Exceptions apply to individuals who, for medical reasons, need to bring a bag inside.

The decision may change with short notice, so we urge visitors, exhibitors, and partners to stay updated.

Information regarding the elevated threat level due to terrorism

The Swedish Security Service (SÄPO) has raised the terrorism threat level in Sweden from 3 to 4 on a five-point scale. The decision is not based on a single event and should be regarded as a strategic and long-term assessment. The reason for the decision is a deteriorated security situation concerning threats of attacks against Sweden, and the assessment is that the threat will persist for an extended period.

The Swedish Security Service's recommendation is to continue to live as usual and be aware of the prevailing security situation. The city's operations are open as usual. At Stockholmsmässan, we are monitoring the situation and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the police and the City of Stockholm.
